Dr. Cinnamon Bell-Williams, founder of Supporting People in Compromised Environments LLC, DBA S.P.I.C.E, believes that States across the Country must be held accountable for facilitating actions that lack humanism. She aims to be a pioneer in bringing awareness and promoting a hands-up to those homeless or in other compromised situations through advocacy and activism, contributing to awareness, social justice initiatives, and support. S.P.I.C.E possesses a calling to facilitate social justice, long-term sustainability, and optimization of an individual’s quality of life.
S.P.I.C.E is deeply committed to facilitating awareness of our homelessness crisis through social justice initiatives, advocacy, and activism. Who are we as humans to leave people on the streets? Now, the States are creating and pushing laws that may imprison these same individuals and impose fines that are impossible to pay. What is the logic? These individuals have nowhere to go and are hungry. Many are exhausted and often have chronic debilitating illnesses. These are only a few of the many social injustices imposed on those who are homeless.
S.P.I.C.E advocates for awareness and initiatives encompassing combatting homelessness, including other areas where humans are deemed disposable. Through social justice initiatives and policy changes, S.P.I.C.E aims to minimize consequential occurrences that stimulate homelessness, poverty, and other detrimental occurrences. Long-term sustainability approaches encompass, but are not limited to, providing basic needs, low-cost yet high-quality education, and training initiatives that contribute to a healthy and optimal quality of life. Organizations contributing to the betterment of others are also provided low-cost consultation and training services offered by S.P.I.C.E.
While the services provided continue to evolve, it is paramount to provide education services, such as nursing education consultation, health-oriented, and other education, at a reasonable cost. Consulting services include, but are not limited to, assisting healthcare organizations and educational institutions in staff training and maintaining their accreditations as they educate those providing services to those in compromised environments.
Cinnamon’s qualifications are a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence. With a BA in Human Services, a BS and an MS in Nursing Education from Millikin University, an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan, an EdD in Educational Leadership from Lewis University, and certificates in Legal Nurse Consulting and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to S.P.I.C.E. She is currently pursuing a second Doctoral degree in Law and Policy at Liberty University to better advocate for those who are homeless or in compromised environments. With over 18 years of experience in healthcare and academia, she ensures that S.P.I.C.E consistently aligns with the business mission and vision.
The provision of consultation and advocacy services is for those who support compromised environments or are within compromised environments. The client base may include but is not limited to private and public schools and colleges, private and public healthcare institutions, homeless communities, behavioral health communities, other community organizations, and individuals or groups within communities of need. The client base statement is purposely broad as it is impossible to identify all clients that may fit the criteria that align with S.P.I.C.E’s mission and vision.
At S.P.I.C.E, our mission is clear: Social Justice through Community Advocacy and Activism is a high priority. We are committed to working with other organizations, such as CHIP Indy, and individuals who strive to assist those homeless or in other compromised situations. This collaborative approach ensures that we are all part of a more significant movement, striving to make a difference. But we don’t stop there. We are equally committed to minimizing adverse circumstances contributing to homelessness or other less-than-desirable situations by providing education that will optimize sustainability through cost-effective educative initiatives that will continue evolving based on the communities’ needs.
Furthermore, S.P.I.C.E aims to assist in a comprehensive range of areas encompassing compromised environments. Whether you seek academic or quality-of-life services for infants, children, youth, teens, or adults of all ages, S.P.I.C.E strives to improve an individual’s situation through support, training, and the cost-effectiveness of all services provided.
At S.P.I.C.E, our services are primarily offered in a hand-up capacity rather than a hand-out. This unique approach, which focuses on empowerment and self-sufficiency, can lead to long-term sustainability and positive outcomes for individuals, groups, communities, and organizations in combatting homelessness and other compromised situations due to circumstances not always within one’s control. Our commitment to long-term sustainability reassures our audience of our effectiveness.
At S.P.I.C.E, we are designed to enhance the voices and needs of compromised individuals and communities. We do this through our active involvement in social justice initiatives encompassing activism. We aim to advance society’s knowledge of the homelessness crisis and other crises resulting from compromised situations.
Our vision at S.P.I.C.E. is clear. We strive to be a leading nonpartisan organization, raising awareness of the injustices faced by the homeless while simultaneously supporting those in other compromising environments. We believe that everyone deserves respect and compassion regardless of their background. Our overarching vision is to promote societal responsibility and provide a hands-up for the betterment of others.
